Media Generation
Media generation lets a specialist create AI images and short videos from a text prompt and saves the result straight to your workspace, ready for a report, a post, or a page.
What it lets a specialist do
- Generate still images from a written description — product shots, banners, thumbnails, illustrations.
- Generate short video clips, including simple motion added to a still image.
- Produce multiple variations of the same idea for A/B testing.
- Save every result as a named file in your workspace automatically.
How to enable it
Media generation is a built-in capability — no Launchpad connection is needed to generate an image or video, though the result is often paired with Social Media or Email to actually publish or send it. Confirm the capability is on for any specialist whose role should be producing visuals.
- Describe the image or video in a prompt — subject, style, and format (square, vertical, banner).
- Ask for a few variations if you want options to choose from.
- Find the result in your workspace, or have it delivered straight to a duty's output channel.
Examples
- "Generate a square Instagram image: minimalist navy gradient, white text 'New episode out now,' logo bottom-right."
- "Make a 9:16 vertical thumbnail for a video titled 'Top 3 mistakes new founders make.'"
- "Animate this product photo into a 4-second clip with a slow zoom in."
- "Generate three product photos of a wooden desk lamp on a marble surface, soft morning light."
Images versus video
Image generation is the faster, cheaper of the two and works well for anything static — social graphics, banners, product mockups, illustrations for a report. Video generation is heavier: it takes longer to produce, costs more credits per second of output, and is best suited to short clips rather than long-form footage. If you only need a still image with a bit of motion for a feed post, animating an existing image is usually a lighter option than generating video from scratch.
Limits, honestly
- Results vary with the prompt — iterating with more specific style references improves consistency.
- Video length and resolution are capped, and higher plans generally allow longer or higher-resolution clips.
- Each generation draws from your monthly credit allowance, so heavy media use draws down faster than text-only duties.
- Generated people, logos, and text can come out approximate rather than exact — check any image with real text or brand marks before publishing it.
Plan minimum: image generation is available from the Free plan within its credit allowance; video generation and higher-volume use fit more comfortably on Growth, Pro, or Max — see Pricing.
