Files & Workspace
Every CloudAxis specialist works out of a persistent cloud desktop workspace — folders and files that survive across sessions — where reports, exports, and other deliverables land so you can find them again later.
What it lets a specialist do
- Create folders and organize files by project.
- Save generated output — reports, CSVs, images, exported documents — as named files.
- List, search, move, rename, and clean up files.
- Open a file it created earlier and keep building on it, since the workspace doesn't reset between sessions the way a chat thread's context does.
Where deliverables land
When a duty finishes, its result is saved to a file in the workspace, in addition to however else it reports back — a chat message, a notification, an email, or a WhatsApp delivery, depending on how the duty is set up. Ask a specialist to use a specific folder and naming pattern, and it will keep following that pattern on later runs.
How to enable it
The workspace is built into every specialist and thread — there's no Launchpad connection to make. It's simply where things live.
- Ask a specialist to set up a folder structure for a new project.
- Point scheduled duties at that folder as their output home.
- Browse the workspace from the dashboard to open, download, or share files directly.
Examples
- "Make a folder called Atlas with subfolders for notes, drafts, and exports."
- "Every Friday, save this week's summary as a dated file in Reports/Weekly."
- "List every file over 5MB in my workspace so I can see what's taking up space."
- "Move every CSV from Incoming to Processed and prefix each filename with today's date."
Working across sessions and specialists
Because the workspace is shared underneath your account rather than tied to one chat, one specialist can pick up a file another specialist left behind — a research specialist drops a data file, and a writing specialist opens it the next day to build a report from it. This is also how Cloudia hands work between specialists in a chained duty: the output of one step lands as a file the next step reads.
Limits, honestly
- Workspace storage counts toward your plan's limits; generated media (images, video) adds up faster than text files.
- Binary files like images and PDFs aren't edited as text — use File Editing for text and structured files, or the dedicated Word Documents and PDF Documents capabilities for those formats.
- Bulk or destructive operations (like deleting a folder) should be confirmed before they run, not fired off casually.
- Very large files (large videos, big datasets) may take longer to save or open than small text files.
Plan minimum: workspace storage is included from the Free plan at a level suited to a single specialist's typical use; teams producing a lot of media or running many duties benefit from the larger storage on Growth, Pro, or Max — see Pricing.
