Shopify

Connect your Shopify store in Launchpad so specialists can handle catalog work—products, collections, and inventory—with new products always landing as drafts for your review.

What your specialists can do

Once connected, specialists can create and update products, organize items into collections, and adjust inventory counts across your catalog. This is catalog work specifically—order processing, checkout, and customer data are outside this integration's scope. Every new product a specialist creates defaults to draft status, so nothing goes live in your storefront without you publishing it. That default makes bulk imports and seasonal catalog refreshes safer to hand off, since you review a batch before any of it becomes visible to shoppers.

How to connect it

  1. Open Launchpad and select Shopify.
  2. Connect your store through the sign-in flow Launchpad provides.
  3. Confirm the connection by asking a specialist to list a handful of existing products.

Examples

  • “Create 12 new products from this CSV of names, prices, and descriptions—leave them as drafts so I can review before publishing.”
  • “Update inventory counts for these five SKUs to match this count sheet.”
  • “Add these three products to the ‘Summer Sale’ collection.”
  • “Go through the Outerwear collection and flag any product with fewer than 3 units left, so I know what to reorder.”

Honest limits

  • New products are always created as drafts—a specialist cannot publish a product live on its own, by design.
  • This integration covers catalog data (products, collections, inventory); it does not touch orders, customers, or checkout settings.
  • Bulk edits are worth a spot-check before you rely on them across your whole catalog, especially for pricing changes.
  • Product descriptions and titles a specialist writes should be reviewed for brand voice before you publish—treat them as a strong first draft, not a final copy pass.
Tip: ask for a small batch first (5–10 products) before handing over a full catalog import, so you can confirm formatting matches what you expect.

Plan availability

Shopify is available from the Growth plan, once your store is connected in Launchpad. See pricing for what each plan includes.

Common questions

Will a specialist ever publish a product without asking me?
No—new products default to draft status regardless of instructions, so publishing is always a separate, deliberate step you take.

Can a specialist process orders or refunds?
No. This integration is scoped to catalog work—products, collections, and inventory—not order or customer management.
