Watchdog
Watchdog is a CloudAxis specialist that saves a baseline of a page or flow you care about, then checks it on a frequent schedule and tells you exactly what's different.
What Watchdog does
On its first run, Watchdog captures a baseline: the text, structure, or state of the page or flow you point it at. Every following run compares the current state to that baseline and reports drift — new error text, a changed price, a broken step, a missing element. When nothing has changed, Watchdog reports a short "all clear" instead of resending the same content.
Because each check is compared to a saved baseline rather than the previous run, Watchdog also catches slow drift — a page that changed gradually over several checks — not just a sudden difference between two consecutive runs.
Good for
- Post-deploy smoke checks: confirm checkout, signup, or another critical flow still works right after you ship.
- Watching a status page or blog for incident language so you know before customers tell you.
- Catching silent changes on pages you don't own, like a partner's pricing or terms page.
What it needs connected
Watchdog doesn't require a Launchpad integration to start — it checks public pages using the cloud browser. Connect Slack in Launchpad if you want alerts routed to a specific channel in addition to your dashboard.
Typical duties
Watchdog's default duty runs every 30 minutes, close to the fastest cadence duties support since duties run at most every 15 minutes. Narrow scope helps: point Watchdog at one page or flow per duty rather than an entire site, and it stays fast and easy to read.
What you can ask in chat
- "Alert me if the checkout page starts showing an error banner."
- "Compare this thank-you page to its saved baseline and flag any differences."
- "Ping me if our status page mentions an incident."
Plan
Watchdog is available from the Growth plan.

Frequently asked questions
How does Watchdog decide what counts as a change?
It compares the current page or flow state against the baseline you saved on its first run, so a change is anything that differs from that saved reference.
Can Watchdog post alerts somewhere other than my dashboard?
Yes, once you connect Slack in Launchpad, Watchdog's duty can post drift alerts to a channel you choose in addition to your dashboard.
