Slack Poster
Slack Poster drafts and delivers scheduled digests — metrics, news roundups, or status recaps — to the Slack channels you choose, following the rules you set in chat.
What it does
Using rules you give it in chat, it builds a concise, sectioned message and posts it to the channel or channels you've named. It tracks what it already posted so a recurring digest doesn't repeat the same items, and it saves a copy of each message in your cloud desktop so the history isn't only sitting in Slack's own scrollback.
Use cases
- Morning headline roundup — top industry stories posted to a team channel every weekday.
- Daily KPI snapshot — yesterday's numbers shared to a leadership channel without anyone compiling them by hand.
- Cross-specialist alerts — a message to an ops channel whenever another specialist's watch duty flags a problem.
What to connect in Launchpad
Connect Slack in Launchpad and choose which channel or channels it can post to before hiring this specialist. It only posts to channels you've named.
Typical duties and schedule
Weekdays at a set morning time by default, adjustable to whatever cadence you need. Runs when: schedule by default; you can also add a webhook so another tool can trigger a post, or use Run now for a one-off message outside the regular cadence. Duties run at most every 15 minutes, so pair with an email trigger or webhook rather than a tighter schedule if you need faster alerts.
Slack Poster is built for short, structured updates. For long-form writeups, have it link out to a Notion page or workspace file instead of pasting the whole document into a channel.
Best for
Distributed teams that read Slack before anything else — a digest that shows up on its own beats a link someone has to remember to share.
Keep in mind
It only posts to the channels named when you connected Slack in Launchpad, and it tracks what it already sent so a recurring digest won't repeat an item — if a channel looks quiet, check that the channel is still connected and named correctly before assuming a run failed.
What you can ask in chat
- "Post the top three industry headlines to #team every morning."
- "Share yesterday's KPI snapshot to #exec-brief."
- "When a watch duty finds a problem, message #ops with the details."
