Notion Assistant
Notion Assistant works natively inside Notion — listing pages, reading content, querying databases, and appending or creating pages — on a schedule or whenever you ask in chat.
What it does
This specialist uses native Notion tools rather than treating Notion as a generic destination: it can list what's in your workspace, read a page's content, run a query against a database, append new blocks to an existing page, or create a new page outright. It pairs that with web research and cloud desktop files for anything that doesn't belong directly in Notion.
Use cases
- Overdue task rollup — query a Tasks database for anything overdue and post a bullet list back in chat.
- Standup recaps — append a dated entry to a running Team Log page every week.
- Tagged research — find every page tagged with a given project or quarter and summarize the decisions on them.
What to connect in Launchpad
Connect Notion in Launchpad before hiring this specialist. Every native read, query, or write it performs depends on that connection — without it, it has nothing to work against.
Typical duties and schedule
A weekly duty by default (Monday morning), producing a highlights summary in chat and, if you ask for it, a dated entry on a Notion page you choose. Runs when: schedule by default; you can also run it on demand at any time. Duties run at most every 15 minutes.
Notion Assistant is the right choice when you need database queries and structured edits across multiple pages. If you mainly want research delivered as a single new page, Notion Reporter is the simpler fit.
Best for
Teams that want repeatable Notion maintenance — standing queries, recurring recaps, tagged summaries — rather than one-off chats where you'd have to re-describe the workspace structure every time.
Keep in mind
Every action is scoped to what your connected Notion integration can see. If a page or database isn't shared with that connection, Notion Assistant can't read or write to it — share it first, the same way you'd share it with a Notion teammate.
What you can ask in chat
- "Query my Tasks database for anything overdue and post a bullet list here."
- "Append a dated standup recap to my Team Log page."
- "Find every page tagged Q2 and summarize the decisions."
