PILLAR POST

Turn Any Video Into Notes and Flashcards

A two-hour video holds maybe ten minutes of what you actually need. CloudAxis Video Notes watches it for you and hands back a TL;DR, chapters, quotes, and flashcards — saved as files you keep, not scrollback you lose.

8–10 min read

You bookmark the talk, the tutorial, the recorded call — and never watch it. Or you watch it, take messy notes, and lose them in a chat thread. The information was there; the friction of extracting it wasn't worth it.

Video Notes removes that friction. Give a CloudAxis specialist a video URL — or let it watch a live tab in the cloud browser — and it produces structured notes and, if you're studying, flashcards. The output lands in your workspace as a file, so it's there next week when you actually need it.

What you get

Ask for the shape of output you want, and the specialist produces it from what plays:

How it works

Enable Video Notes on the thread or specialist you're working with, then either share a video URL or turn on cloud browser access so it can watch a live tab. Say what you want — "TL;DR, chapters, and 20 flashcards" — and it does the rest.

For a stable URL it works from the transcript. For content that isn't at a clean URL — a live demo, a webinar playing in a tab — a specialist with cloud browser access can watch it as it plays and take notes in real time. Either way, the notes are saved to your workspace as a file (Markdown, plus CSV/JSON for flashcards), not stranded in a chat.

It knows the difference between a lecture and a sales call

A lecture, a meeting, a tutorial, and a sales call each want different notes. Video Notes uses content-aware templates — lecture, tutorial, meeting, interview, podcast, sales call, standup — so a study session gets flashcards and key concepts, while a meeting gets decisions and action items. You can also point it at a focus ("only the pricing discussion") to keep the notes on what matters to you.

Honest limits

So you know what to expect:

Who uses it

Students turning lectures into flashcards. Researchers mining recorded talks. Teams that record every meeting and never re-watch them. Sales reps who need the next steps from a call, not the whole hour. Anyone with a "watch later" list that never gets watched.

See the specific playbooks: meeting notes from a recording, flashcards from a lecture, and sales-call notes and next steps.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work on YouTube?

Yes — share a YouTube URL and it works from the transcript. For videos that are not at a stable URL (a live demo or webinar in a browser tab), a specialist with cloud browser access can watch it as it plays.

Where do the notes and flashcards go?

Saved to your CloudAxis workspace as files (Markdown, plus CSV/JSON for flashcards), so you can find them again alongside your other files.

What plan do I need?

Video Notes is available from the Growth plan. Watching a live browser tab uses cloud browser minutes. See the pricing page for details.
